Two Former Students Visit

A teacher looked down the hall during the last period of the day.  She commented that she felt like she was seeing two former students.  A counselor walking down the hall stated that she was.  Two former students returned for a short visit, talking to former teachers and counselors.  It was fun to learn that both students were doing well at their present school and enjoying their summer break visiting Logan River Academy and the next day Bear Lake.  The two former students did admit that they did miss Utah a little.

Keeping Context

Logan River Academy students were asked to take some different objects from my closet and create an artwork where these objects were placed in an unusual context. The objects range from something as simple as a chain or as complex as a bust of Beethoven. The results of this project are always creative and unique.

Exploding Boxes

The Logan River Academy Painting and Art II classes have been exploring different shapes through the Exploding Boxes project.  This is a project that the students really enjoyed and we ended up with some exciting results!

Transformation Project

The girls art class at Logan River Academy are exploring different themes and concepts as inspiration for their art works. The theme for our first project was transformation and change. We looked at different artists that explore the idea of transformation and used their work as a starting point for coming up with our own ideas. The project turned out great and we have some cool artwork to share.

Ahhhh....To Collaborate on a Starry Night!

An artistic interpretation of “Starry Night” by Vincent Van Gogh was unknowingly created by the girls’ art class at Logan River Academy and hung for the school to see. Each student was given a piece of the painting to recreate and when the different pieces were hung in order, they came together to create this famous work of art. The piece was created using primarily charcoal and shows a range of style and talent found among the student population at Logan River Academy.
