Logan River Academy is a residential treatment center
located in Logan, Utah. We are licensed by the State of Utah to have a maximum
capacity of 94 students. We are accredited through AdvancED, the Utah State
Board of Education and the state of California as a non-public school. We have
one full time administrator, eleven teachers that are licensed in their areas
of expertise, and support staff that assist in educational services. We teach
the state of Utah core curriculum designed for students between 8th and
12th grades. Independent Study classes are available for those whose
needs cannot be met by the course offerings for a given semester. These
Independent Study courses are obtained from accredited institutions and meet
the requirements of each state in which they are located.
Special Education services are provided using an inclusive
classroom model. We have multiple Special Education teachers. Students are
assigned classes based on need, availability of classes and graduation
requirements. Both Special Education and General Education teachers provide
accommodations based on student need. Some accommodation may include:
preferential seating, small class sizes, one-on-one time with teachers, and many more.
There are many
opportunities for students to be involved in extracurricular activities. We
have athletic teams, academic activities and field trips, therapy activities,
dorm activities, and outside adventure activities.
