Science classes recently went to the AnnualCache Rock & Gem Show at Bridgerland Applied Technology College. It
was an enjoyable trip for the Logan River Academy students to learn a variety
of interesting facts from the collectors and see many rocks and gems.
Many of the collectors had fossils of trilobites, fish and cephalopods
(squid-like animals). In addition, the students saw displays, polished
rocks, precious gems, jewelry, ammonite shells, and “the coolest” fossilized
dinosaur poop. It was a great learning and exploring experience for the
students.
